First I got an e-mail from Walmart telling me that I qualified for a some free products due to my shopping history. So I checked it out. The only product that interested me was a wrinkle removing facial cream and all I had to pay was shipping and handling. I proceeded to order the cream giving them my card info ,and then when I tried to check out of the ad , a pop – up told me my order was not complete without the free wrinkle reducing eye gel. Again all I had to pay was shipping and handling for the eye gel also. The total of both shipping and handling was less than $10.00 so I said what the heck and agreed and checked out of the ad. My card was charged the small fees for both shipping and handling for the products and received them both in just a couple of days. Then about 14 days later, to my surprise ,my card was charged $94.00 for the facial cream and $95.00 for the eye gel. I called the company and asked for an explanation of the charges and they informed me that after the 14 day trial I am to be charged the $94 and $95 as stated on their website myfacialcream.com.But I didn’t order from their website I ordered thru a link from a Walmart site and none of the 14 day trial or the $94 and $95 charges were disclosed to me or I would have never spent so much for a facial cream. Dermatone”s customer service rep. told me it was too late to get my money back and if I wanted to pursue this further I would have to contact them thru e-mail at [email protected] .com. I checked out their site and the charges and conditions of the purchases concerning the 14 day trial and $95.00 charge are quite clear on their site “”myfacialcream.com“” but remember I didn’t order from that site. I ordered thru a link from a Walmart site and none of those conditions were communicated to me
only that the products were free and that I was to pay shipping andf handling.I also tried to contact them at [email protected] and all it does is sends me to the main website. In the meantime I’m out a grand total of about $190.00. My bank
however
is being quite helpfull in this matter . I’ll see how it turns out. Please beware of these scammers. They use links from other bigger sites such as Walmart and don’t inform you of their terms and conditions.Who the hell is going to pay $95.00 for a tiny jar of facial cream or $94.00 for eye gel.”
