Complaint: I was not able to turn off auto-renew feature and got charged for a domain name for 5 years. When I called them to cancel the transaction and to change to 1 year only, they refused to do so telling that their policy not to refund money for the future years. First, they told me that ICANN does not allow them to do that than when I talked to ICANN, ICANN told me that it is not true.When I called them back they start telling me the different story that they have the policy not to refund money for the domain names that are on auto-renew. When I asked about the policy the billing representative refused to send me that policy or point me out where the policy located. They also told me that many people calling them with the same problem every day and they treat them the same way. How can this scam be ended? Is there is an attorney or a Law Firm who would help consumers like us.
