On Oct. 1, 2013, I got a call from an employee at IAB Financial Bank in New Haven, IN, regarding a bill to a utility company that I tried to pay electronically. NIPSCO fraudelently, gave the bank the wrong account number. Why would NIPSCO do this? It seems they did not like the fact that my son and I sued them in order to get a letter of credit regarding the fact that we have a perfect ontime payment history. (this was for a USDA mortgage loan application). On Nov.1st, while attempting to pay this month’s bill for $30.15, I deliberately reentered the bank account number and photostated each procedure so that NIPSCO could not pull the same stunt again. THEY DID. THEY TRIED. They sent a bill for $50 with a returned check fee that they had to pay the bank. Along with a demand that all furture bills be paid by certifed check. I have a print out of this alleged returned check fee. So far this month my son and I have paid NIPSCO over $140 on a $30.15 bill that was not due until Nov. 18th. IAB FINANCIAL BANK REFUSES TO tell why they refused payment to NIPSCO or give us a general accounting of what happened.
