Complaint: Keyless Remote Warehouse sold me two Porsche keys. One key arrived broken- the clamshell case had been pried open, and wouldn’t click shut, so it had been glued shut. I could pry it open but didn’t want a key case that pops open or had to be glued shut after each battery change. I sent it back and got a replacement, but only after several emails and paying for shipping- a hassle. The Porsche keys do not physically fit in the ignition of my 1999 Porsche Boxster, though the site said they would. I have had to file them down to fit- this in only possible because I happen to have a tiny file and the patience to do this for 15 minutes. I do not yet know whether the microchip will be programmable to work with the ignition at the Porsche dealer. If they don’t, it’s all wasted money as Keyless Remote warehouse will not take back a cut key. But it’s a Catch-22: I cannot know if the key will be programmable or will work until both it fits in the ignition and has been programmed by a Porsche dealer.
