Complaint: I went to Mohawk Auto in 2013 for a new vehicle wiht a small downpayment for it. I was 6 months pregnant with my son at the time and asked for a vasn or bigger vehicle. I received a Mazda MPV that 2-3 months later had ENgline lights and brake lights on. When i called to schedule an appointment for repairs, i was told they were busy that week, I needed to call back. This happened for a couple weeks. When i finally got the van looked at a month later, the auto repair dept said they had to speak to someone and they would call me back. They never called me back and about a week later the van wouldn’t start at all so it sat in my driveway. When i went into labor, i had to no time obviously to run and pay them for that week so they continued to harass me while i was in labor even though i told two different people i was in labor. About a month later, I received a phone call at work asking me about said van(Mohawk auto), and I told them its broken down in my driveway so they said they will come and take it. They have terrible customer service skills and allowed me to drive around in a van in such terrible condition with children! They sued me for $8,000+ in April of 2015, discontinued action against afte ri sent numerous letters to them and then resued me in December of 2015 for $12,000+. I dont believe i should be held responsible for a vehicle that CLEARLY was a lemon and they just want to get money from me. I currently have two kids and cannot afford to pay them. I am hoping that by making this complaint they wont get to take advantage of anyone else, especially pregnant with kids, BECAUSE ITS COMPANIES LIKE THIS THAT SHOULD GET SHUTDOWN FOR TERRIBLE ETHICS!!!
