Complaint: I purchased a Dodge Durango from this company 2 years ago. When I bought it had 79000 miles on it. I got the standard one year warranty on the drive train. Four months after I bought it, the engine went out. I was informed that the piston went through the valve. 30 days later I got the vehicle back with a used engine installed. I was told that I would receive the same warranty on this engine which would have been 1 year. Last month, September 2015, my engine light went on again. I took it back to the shop. 15 days later, they claimed they have done a vavle job on this motor and that everything was good. 2 days after I picked up the suv, the engine light appeared again, so I took it back. 5 days later they called me and said they didn’t know what was wrong and to come and pick up the suv. I took the suv to Feeny Dodge in Elgin, they had it for 2 hours and claimed that I have a piston ring leak. They also told me that Superior’s mechanics should have been able to pick this problem up, so I called Superior back and was told by Jim Anderson, manager, that they will not do anymore work on this vehicle. My suv shows 101000 miles on it now as of October 2015. Meaning I have only driven the vehicle for 22000 miles, so I believe the engine they put in was no good. All I was asking for was to get my vehicle fixed and for them to stand behind the work that they did. Each time that I had the vehicle in for repairs I had to pay $50.00, and still have the same problem. Jim Anerson told me when I called that if he would have been around when all this happened, he would have never approved for the engine to be fixed again, because he said that the warranty was over and that we should look at what was done as a gift to us. He was very rude when talking with my wife. I don’t feel that this is how a customer should be treated and made to feel that now you have to take it to a real mechanic to get the repairs done correctly.
