Terrible customer service!!!! I am in the process of trying to cancel an NYTimes online subscription. I called their service number and they have had me on hold for an hour and 20 minutes – and counting. It says my placement in the Qu is 12th in line, then slowly goes down to ten and then jumps back up to 12th Over and over again. Now it is saying I’m 14th in line! I have tried to contact them with their online service and no help there either. They make it impossible to reasonably end your subscription. This should be something you could do yourself automatically through your online account. Sadly, this behavior makes me mistrust the “venerable” NY Times. As I’m writing this (despite my qu position at 14) a woman took my call. She heard me out about wanting to cancel my subscription and put me on hold again!!! Fortunately, the wait was not too long this time. So FINALLY after over an hour and a half online, A man named ***** canceled the subscription. I’ll miss the fine reporting, but I will not go back to an NYT subscription any time soon because they have terrible customer service!
